2011 Director of the scientific event “XXIII Workshop for Professors of Dental and maxillofacial Prostheses”, held in Salamanca in March of 2011. This event was partially supported by the Regional Government of Castilla y León, Spain. More than a hundred university professors from Portugal and Spain attended the event.

-I was acclaimed by the Dental College of Granada in 2010 for the best scientific article entitled “Are dental prosthesis satisfactory within the population of Granada, Spain?”
-My poster entitled “Impact of prosthodontic treatment on quality of life” received the third place in scientific awards from the International Congress of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry in Bologna, 2011.
-Invited referee in peer-reviewed journals: I have been collaborating as a reviewer in several international peer-reviewed journals, such as Health & Quality Life Outcomes, Med Oral Patol Oral Cir Bucal, J Oral Rehabil, Caries Res, Oral Diseases, J Nutr Health Aging.
-I am the co-editor of two Spanish Dental Journals: Labor Dental Clínica ISSN: 1575-1783; and Avances en Higiene Bucodental ISSN: 2014-5292, since 2012.
I have made contributions in several research lines (oral-health related quality of life, oral surgery, dental adhesion, dental colour and dental occlusion). I am currently working on the personality traits of several oral disorders (bruxism, TMD patients) and new strategies for promoting bone regeneration.
